Mango Kulfi (Indian Desserts )


1) Boil full cream milk and reduce it to half. Add 1 pinch of saffron.

2) Add 1/4th cup of roughly chopped almonds and cashew

3) Add 1/2 cup grated jaggery when the milk about slightly warm ( not too warm) and let it cool completely.

4) Add 1 cup of mango puree and 1/4th cup fresh cream and blend for 2 mins and set it in the moulds

5) For a creamier version, take it out after half set add 1/4th cup cream and blend again and set

 Ready to serve after refrigeration.

How to make Wholewheat Pizza ( Italian Dish )


Step 1: Take 1 teaspoon instant yeast in a mixing bowl

Step 2: Add ½ teaspoon granulated sugar and 1 tsp honey.

Step 3: Then add 1 cup warm water. Mix well till it froths and bubbles.

Step 4: Add 3 cups whole wheat flour, 1tsp salt, 1tbsp olive oil,1 tbsp lemon and knead till the dough becomes soft and supple. If the dough looks sticky, then you can sprinkle some flour.

Step 5 : Shape the dough into a ball and place in a large mixing bowl that has been coated lightly with olive oil. Cover it with a lid or a kitchen towel and allow to leaven till the dough doubles up. I kept it for 2 hours.

Knead the dough lightly again and then you can directly make pizzas from these.

Step 6: Preheat oven to 230 C degrees .Allow to heat for at least 30 full minutes. Every inch of your oven needs to be very, very hot. Grease and dust pizza pans with olive oil. Sprinkle with cornmeal. Now flatten a ball of dough directly onto your cornmeal lined pizza pan. Using your fingers, push dents into the surface of the dough to prevent bubbling. Brush the top with some olive oil. Top with your favorite toppings and bake for 15 min.

Slice hot pizza and serve immediately.

Red Thai Curry (Veg/ Prawn)

Serves 4 - 


1 small red capsicum

1 small cup zucchini

1 small cup broccoli

1 cup prawns (medium)-optional

600 ml coconut milk

2 tsp sugar

1 tsp lemon juice

1 tsp salt

3 tbsp red curry paste

1 tsp soy sauce

For the Red curry paste

10 red chillies

2 tbsp chopped lemon grass

2 tbsp chopped galangal

3 leaves Kafir leaves

1 tbsp coriander leaves

3 small shallots

2 tbsp garlic

8-10 birds eye chillies

½ tsp salt


In a bowl add red chillies, lemon grass, garlic, galangal, shallots, thai red chillies, coriander, kafir leaves, thai basil, lemon and little bit of water, stir well and mix properly also add little salt.

Add the stirred ingredients in the mixer and grind it into a thin paste.

Add 3 tablespoon of paste in pan and add coconut milk, zucchini, broccoli, red pepper, salt, sugar, soya sauce, thai red chillies, birds eye chillies, (prawns), some fresh thai basil and now turn on the flame, simmer for 10-12 minutes

And Thai Red Curry with vegetables or Prawns  is ready to be served with warm steamed rice.
